Ryuojima is an uninhabited island with a circumference of about 1.6 km located in Akitsu-cho, Higashihiroshima City.

The island is known as the ``Ryuojima Nature Experience Village'' and has plenty of facilities for barbecues and camping. Why not enjoy the outdoors in the vast ocean and nature and create memories with your family?

Shop at Fureai Market! Get BBQ ingredients

Before heading to Ryuojima, first go to JA Hiroshima Agricultural Products Market Fureai Market Akitsu Branch, which is about a 5-minute walk from JR Kazahaya Station.

The Fureai Market is a treasure trove of local ingredients, where local businesses, farmers, sake breweries, and more bring their products to sell. There are lots of colorful vegetables, including Akitsu's specialty, potatoes.

　

Of course, we also have meat and seafood that are must-haves for barbecues.

There is an array of fresh local ingredients, including Hiroshima Wagyu beef "Motonari" and fish caught in nearby waters. In addition, the lineup includes side dishes and bento boxes from the popular "Kojo Store" that was featured on TV programs. There are three types of sushi rolls that have a big impact and are so large that the ingredients are overflowing: conger eel, shrimp, and chicken. After shopping, we finally left for Ryuojima!

It takes about 3 minutes by car from Fureai City to the ferry terminal. Head towards Kazahaya Port using the signboard of "Ryuojima Nature Experience Village" as a landmark.

Park your car at the designated spot and head to the boat terminal for Ryuojima.

Arrive at Ryuojima in about 10 minutes by boat!

Ryuojima Nature Experience Village'' not only has a campground, but also a fire circle where you can make a campfire, and a playroom that can be used for recreation and training sessions.

There is staff in the administration building, so you don't have to worry. The free shower rooms and toilets are also very clean.

　

　

You can rent cooking utensils, tableware, etc. from the administration building.

After finishing your meal, enjoy the island's nature to the fullest.

You can also play on the beach at ``Iso-asobi-no-hama'', which is about a 10-minute walk from the barbecue area. Although you cannot swim, you can play to your heart's content on the private sandy beach.

　

We also recommend hiking to see the natural wildflowers on the island.

Taking a commemorative photo on a hill with a beautiful view is sure to be a memorable one.
