11th Mitsujo Kofun Candle Night

Experience an enchanting scene illuminated by 3,000 candles

The special event “Mitsujo Kofun Candle Night” will be held at the Mitsujo Kofun, one of the largest groups of keyhole-shaped burial mounds in Hiroshima Prefecture, on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Approximately 3,000 candles will be lit around the ancient burial mounds and their surroundings, creating a quiet and enchanting atmosphere. The flickering lights beautifully illuminate the silhouettes of the ancient burial mounds, creating a breathtaking scene where history and fantasy meet.

On the day of the event, stage performances will be held by local elementary and junior high school students and community groups, making it a uniquely warm-hearted event for the region.
