Sake Festival
Enjoy sake from all over Japan at the biggest annual event in Higashihiroshima
The Sake Festival is held annually on the second Saturday and Sunday of October in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
The Sake Festival is held in Saijo, Higashihiroshima City every October. It is a major event where you can enjoy sake from all over Japan. This large event is centered around Saijo Central Park and Saijo Sakagura-dori Street, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the town. You can enjoy Japanese sake at the main venue, sample and purchase sake at Saijo’s sake breweries, watch a variety of stage events, and grab a meal or a snack at the gourmet food stalls lining the streets.
At the Sake Hiroba, you can sample sake from all over Japan and learn about the sake-making culture of each region. The festival features many events that can be enjoyed by both long-time sake fans and first-timers alike. You also shouldn’t miss the bishu-nabe area, where you can enjoy the popular bishu-nabe (a local hotpot-style dish
containing sake). This simple yet profoundly flavorful hotpot is seasoned only with sake and salt.
Please come and experience the unique atmosphere of Saijo, a town famous for sake.
