Kugurimon Coffee

Café and souvenir shop where you can relax between sake brewery tours

This coffee shop, which roasts its own beans, is located in the east wing of Kugurimon gate — one of the tourist attractions along Saijo Sakagura-dori Street.

The first floor has a souvenir shop where you can purchase carefully selected coffee beans, as well as a wide variety of Higashihiroshima specialties like sake manju (steamed buns infused with sake) and karinto (sweet deep-fried treats) made with sake lees. The second floor is a spacious, traditional Japanese café where you can relax and enjoy lunch and coffee brewed with water that was used to brew sake.

Visitors can take a break during their tour of the sake breweries, enjoy a coffee, or have lunch. There is also a raised sitting area, which is convenient for families with children. This is a great place to sit and relax for a while.
