Kirei Sake Brewery

Crisp, dry sake, offering a wish for longevity and prosperity

Founded in the 1880s, Kirei Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery in Saijo, Hiroshima. The name reflects an aspiration to craft sake that will be cherished for generations. This crisp and dry sake is cherished locally for its sharp flavor.

In 1917, the brewery won its first honorary award at the Annual Japan Sake Awards, where breweries from across Japan compete. Since then, it has been known for its outstanding brewing techniques and high quality.

Don’t forget to visit “Manekiya,” an on-site direct sales store and gallery where you can discover unique products that can’t be found anywhere else, such as sake that is available for purchase only directly from the brewery, bean snacks made with sake lees, the locally popular “Jōkamachi Udon” noodles, and skincare soap made with sake.

Additionally, the white-walled storehouse features the crest of the samurai clan that once ruled this region, making it a popular photo spot where visitors can feel its historical charm.
