Stroll along Saijo Sakagura-dori Street in a kimono! Experience the feeling of renting and wearing a kimono

This rental service lets you enjoy an elegant stroll through town in a kimono, against the backdrop of the old, charming sake brewery district. A professional kimono stylist will ensure your kimono stays perfectly in place and is comfortable to wear, allowing you to enjoy a long walk in comfort.

Choose from approximately 20 varieties of kimono, including the perfect combination of obi and obiage sashes, and other accessories. A limited selection of men’s kimonos are also available, so couples can enjoy the experience together. Please inquire for more information.
This unique experience is only possible in Saijo, where you can savor special moments while strolling through a town steeped in history and culture.

■ Kimono rental and dressing process

① Select a kimono and obi
*Please arrive at 9:00 or 10:00 a.m.
② Put on your kimono (Optional: Hair styling)
③ Free time to explore Saijo Sakagura-dori Street
④ Return your kimono (Please return your kimono no later than 4:00 p.m. on the same day.)

■ What to bring/wear
・Please wear an undershirt (such as a camisole or other open-neck garment) when you come to the salon.
・If you have booked the quick hair styling option, please wear a front-opening garment when you come to the salon.
・If you plan to wear boots, please bring your own.

Hair accessories are available for rent, but feel free to bring your own if you like.

■ Important notes
・If a kimono is returned damaged or severely soiled, or if rental accessories are missing, you will be charged the actual cost of repairs/cleaning or replacement.
・The maximum number of participants per session is three people.
