Saijo Sake Tasting Guided Tour

Visit the sake breweries along Saijo Sakagura-dori Street and enjoy sake tasting

Saijo is one of Japan’s three major sake-producing regions.
There are seven sake breweries within walking distance of Saijo Station.

On this tour, you can visit seven breweries in just two hours while listening to an English-speaking guide explain the history of each brewery and the sake they produce. You can also sample sake recommended by each brewery. You can sample varieties such as daiginjo, junmai, and nigori, so you’re sure to find your favorite. Since some breweries don’t offer tastings on weekdays, it’s a rare opportunity to sample sake from all of them.

7 brewery tour: Every Monday and Friday (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
3 brewery tour: Every weekday (10:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.)
Conditions

These tours include sake tasting, and therefore anyone under the age of 20 is not permitted to join.
Fee

7 brewery tour: ¥7,700 (including tax)
*Includes tasting of nine varieties of sake and an English guide

3 brewery tour: ¥5,500 (including tax)
*Includes tasting of five varieties of sake and an English guide
